This Is My Lesson Plan, and It's Fucked Up (if you're a teacher, you'd know why)

Note: I am trained to teach high school, not elementary. This lesson is for elementary, and I will not teach this, fearing that I will turn idiots out of my pupils. I'm sticking to high school. At least those kids have the proper schema to think and scaffold new ideas.

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. Differentiate words with soft Gg sound and hard Gg sound.
2. Pronounce the soft Gg and hard Gg sound correctly.
3. Identify words with soft Gg and hard Gg sound.
II. Subject Matter:
Topic: The hard Gg and soft Gg sound.
Reference: Basic Guide in Reading (P), Corazon S. Reyno, pgs. 15-16
Materials: flash cards, pictures
Values Infusion: Active participation.
III. Procedure:
Preparation
a. Prayer
b. Greeting
c. Checking of attendance
Developmental
a. Motivation - Ask the class to give examples of names that start with G. Ask the class if they notice the difference of the sounds of the different names.
b. Presentation - The teacher will explain the G sound, and how it's sound changes, that the soft Gg is pronunced as a "j" and the hard Gg is pronounced as "g".

c. Application - Activity:
The teacher will now show pictures of words with soft G and hard G sounds. The learners will read these words. Then, they will divide the words whether they have the soft G or hard G sound.
d. Generalization - The teacher will ask what the pupils have learned.
IV. Evaluation:
Teacher will post more words on the board. This time, the learners will write on a sheet of paper whether they are of the soft G sound or hard G sound. After this, the class will check their work.
V. Assignment: Post pictures on the board. The pupils will guess the name of such objects depicted on the pictures, and decide whether they have the hard G and soft G. It'll be written on a sheet of paper, and the answers will be recited next meeting.

Why Am I Doing This? (And Other Frequently Asked Questions)

As I am writing this, I am sitting on the toilet during a power outage, with nothing but candlelight and my cellphone. This does not mean anything. I just wish to share to you what I am currently doing. I'm shitting.

Lots of questions have been thrown at me ever since I started my cyber life. So now, due to complete boredom, I will try to answer all the frequently asked questions in one single blog post.

I have lots of ideas that are just taking up my brain's memory space. I am computer and internet literate. I enjoy writing. I like to annoy people when I feel like it. Why not?

This must be a trick question.
No, I will not post my real name here. But remember, I don't lie about my real name. I always say up front that I use an alias on the internet. On this blog, I am the Ghostwriter. On Twitter, I am, again, The Ghostwriter. On Facebook, I am ****** **** (censored for your protection and mine). Just look for me. You might find me.

3. How old are you?
Again, a question I will not answer on the internet.
I am old as I am. That is all.

4. Where are you?
Read the blog about the science fiction folio. That might give you a clue.

5. Why do you enjoy wearing black so much?
It feels good.
I'm comfortable with the colour. It seldom stands out in a crowd of people, but it stands out if worn perfectly. It looks very elegant and professional. Kinda like Johnny Cash. Yeah. Or Robert Smith. Maybe even Johnny C.
Oh yes, and black is a must if you enjoy creeping around in dark places. Black sweater, black ski mask, black pants, black boots, the works.

Well, those are just some of the questions I could remember here on the toilet. And the power's back on. Cool. And it's time to flush.

I have suffered long enough. INTERNET SHOULD BE FREE!
Today, due to some glitch, my phone is able to access the internet for free. I hope this glitch stays. I need it to stay.

Why? For shit's sake, I'm a damned blogger! I need internet access. I need to be connected to the world through cyberspace. I need to annoy billions of people through their computers/laptops/cellphones/smart devices.
My blog has been dormant for weeks. My posts have been at least months apart, and that is not good for. I am not satisfied. I can't get no satisfaction from the shit that I have to endure. The shit I'm talking about is the lack of internet access.

This glitch better stay forever. And may it never be fixed.

Will the Brownouts Affect the Election?

BACKGROUND

The Philippines, especially the Mindanao region, has been suffering from rotating brownouts due to overworked power plants and generators. It has affected businesses, households and schools. The shortage of power also triggered water shortages, due to electric water pumps without power. It also made hospitals worry over undercharged generators for their life support machines and equipment. It also raised the crime-rate in certain areas due to the darkness.

With the upcoming automated election, will it affect the electronic voting and counting machines, and will it affect the results?

OPINION

I say yes.
Sure, they say have back-up generators. Sure, they say they have back-up car batteries. Sure, they say that a power outage would not hinder the system. But what about those who are determined to cheat at the election? Have we forgotten that?
How many times has the election counting been disrupted by a sudden brownout? How many times has a simple moment of darkness caused the tides of the battle to change? Countless times.

How can they possibly cheat? Simple. Steal the batteries.Destroy the power plants and generators. Burn down the classrooms. Cause a brownout and manipulate the results.
We must also remember that the BEST hackers in the world are from the Philippines. An ATM machine can be hacked by any college student with enough knowledge, why not a voting machine?

They say that the voting will only last from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and the batteries last for 16 hours. One question: how do you charge a battery without electricity? The cheaters would simply trigger a brownout to ensure that the batteries would be uncharged or undercharged.

RECOMMENDATION

Simple. Make sure that the brownouts never happen again.The brownouts are not a problem, but it's the people who cause it that's the problem. Look at it this way: they say that it's caused by the overworked power plants, but last Sunday, when the entire Philippines watched the Pacquiao-Clottey bout, which could overload the power generators, not a single brownout was reported. Why? People want to see the fight, both good and bad. Zero crime rate. Zero casualties. Zero accidents. The country is united when Manny fights. Why can't we be united when we fight the oppressors,the no-good-sons-of-bitches that are in Malacan? Why?
We do not love ourselves as Filipinos. We do not love our own country. We simply have a false sense of pride and nationalism.
WE NEED TO UNITE NOW.

Martial Law in the Philippines

After the recent Maguindanao Massacre, the Philippine Government declared Martial Law on the area, seizing the political power of the Ampatuans, and replacing it with Military Governance.

This is not the first time Martial Law was declared in the Philippines, although this time, it is confined to one province. The question is: Is it really necessary?

History

President Jose P. Laurel of the wartime Second Republic (puppet-government under Japan) placed the Philippines under martial law in 1944 through Proclamation No. 29, dated September 21. Martial law came into effect on September 22, 1944 at 9am. Proclamation No. 30 was issued the next day, declaring the existence of a state of war between the Philippines and the United States and the United Kingdom. This took effect on September 23, 1944 at 10:00 am.

The country was under martial law again from 1972 to 1981 under the authoritarian rule of Ferdinand Marcos. Proclamation No. 1081 (Proclaiming a State of Martial Law in the Philippines) was signed on September 21, 1972 and came into force on September 22 - exactly 28 years after similar proclamations by President Jose P. Laurel. Martial law was declared to suppress increasing civil strife and the threat of communist takeover following a series of bombings and a government-staged assassination attempt on then Defence Minister Juan Ponce Enrile in Manila. The declaration of martial law was initially well-received by some sectors, but it eventually proved unpopular as excesses and human rights abuses by the military emerged, such as the use of torture as a method of extracting information. The well-known People Power Revolution of 1986 took place because of the many violated rights and abuse of authority of Marcos. The People Power Revolution eventually ousted Marcos, and he fled to Hawaii where he died in exile in 1989.

There were rumours that incumbent President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was planning to impose martial law to put an end to military coup plots, general civilian dissatisfaction, and criticism of the legitimacy of her presidency due to dubious election results. Instead, a "State of National Emergency" was imposed to crush a coup plot and to tackle protesters which lasted from February 24, 2006 until March 3 of the same year.

On December 4, 2009, through Proclamation No. 1959, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has officially placed Maguindanao province under a state of martial law. The declaration, also suspended the writ of habeas corpus in the province. The announcement was made days after hundreds of government troops were sent to the province, which would later raid armories of the powerful Ampatuan clan. The Ampatuan family was implicated in a gruesome massacre that saw the murder of 57 persons, including women members of the rival Mangudadatu clan, human rights lawyers, and 31 media workers, in the worst incident of political violence in the nation's history. It has also been condemned world-wide as the worst loss of life of media professionals in one day in the history of journalism.

"We are confident that this one is covered by the Constitution," said Ermita at a press briefing at the Palace.

The Ampatuan family was implicated in a gruesome massacre two weeks ago that saw the murder of 57 persons, including women members of the rival Mangudadatu clan, human rights lawyers, and 31 media workers, in the worst incident of political violence in the nation's history. It has also been condemned world-wide as the worst loss of life of media professionals in one day in the history of journalism.

Reports received late Friday night said that the President had already issued an order imposing military rule in the province. However, when contacted by GMANews.TV, Press Secretary Cerge Remonde, denied the rumors. Presidential Adviser for Mindanao Affairs Jesus Dureza also said that he had no information.

Armed Forces Eastern Mindanao commander, Lt. Gen. Raymundo Ferrer, will function as military governor after the arrest of Maguindanao governor Andal Ampatuan Sr., the same report said.

However, the report failed to identify its sources. Ermita's announcement Saturday confirmed the first declaration of martial law in the Philippines since 1972 when then-president Ferdinand Marcos imposed martial law over the entire country." - GMANews.TV

Opinion

I believe the proclamation is necessary. Not only is the Ampatuan's abuse of power too much to bear for the region, but also for the country. Enough is enough! They have private armies, armaments and ammunition fit for at least 3 battalions, and guns, goons and gold enough for the whole family. It serves them right. Sure, they're the best of friends with the president, but you can't hide the fact that the president is a no good bitch, willing to do ANYTHING to stay in power, even if it involves befriending one of the most powerful clans in Mindanao.
They're turning the democratic government of the country into a monarchy, passing on their positions to their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, wives, cousins, even distant relatives. The Martial Law declared might scare them from attempting anything else drastic, but what stopped them from doing the massacre? NOTHING. The Martial Law can only control the current situation, and that's good enough for me.

Recommendation

I say the Martial Law be extended, until a different form of leadership, a deserving leadership, replaces the abusive bastards that run the whole of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
They should also make sure that the military themselves don't abuse their power. We'd had this before during the Marcos Regime, we might have it again during the Arroyo Regime.
They have been abusing their power long enough, they have been in power long enough, they have been with power long enough. The government, for the love of democracy, better do something about it. Seize their sources of power: guns, goons, gold, and political position. Replace them. In fact, remove the autonomy of ARMM. This has caused too much chaos to the Philippine Political scene. especially during elections.
Enough is Enough.

Why I Blog, and other stuff, such as the things i could have done if i didn't blog

I'm a blogger.

Exhibit C: i have too many thoughts in my head that needs to be shared to other people on the internet, because the people in the real world will kill me. [citation needed]

I originally had no intention of writing a blog. I thought, "Nah. This might be another fad. I'll stick to my journal.", but I realized that since my journal is private, i'd have to print it so that other people may enjoy the bullshit i write, and printing costs cash money. Blogging became the obvious alternative.
My first four blogs were rather simple and juvenile (a trait still present in current posts), and posts were too far apart (again, common in current posts). I can't seem to think when i'm in front of a computer. Thus, mobile blogging became the logical choice. I run Opera Mini on my phone (endorsement. Nice). It allows me to visit any website i want, unless it runs on Flash, then i'm fucked. I can do so much while on the go. [i approve this message]
I think i went off topic.

WHAT IF I DIDN'T BLOG?
That question came into my mind a few minutes ago. So, here's a list of stuff i could have done to contribute to the internet community:
